Source: FBI Crime in the United States Estimations
Notes: The FBI's Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) program tracks all crime reported from local police agencies. However, reporting to the FBI is optional. This creates non-uniform data trends as some agencies won't report statistics in some years. The problem can be exacerbated when there isn't uniformity between municipalities as well, such as some cities reporting but not county sheriffs and vice versa. Within the UCR program, the data for State and U.S. is found in Table 4. For Metros, the data is found in Table 6 and for Counties, the data is found in Table 10. The tables are located in the collections of CIUS Estimations and Offenses Known to Law Enforcement within the Crime in the United States Annual Reports section. Data for 2021 is not available for Metros. Data for 2019 and prior is located on the legacy UCR webpage.
This data center is designed to provide up-to-date information on the Greater Manhattan region of Kansas.
